New Befriender-led Cinema Group

Come and join our new Befriender Led Cinema Group!

Our first trip on 26th May to see Quartet was a great success!

Our next trip is to Saffron Screen on Saturday 29th June at 3 pm, to see Iron Man 3 (12a).

Ticket prices: Full paying Adult - £6.50; Adult concessions - £5.00.

We will meet at the Wetherspoons Temeraire, Saffron Walden High Street, from 1.45 pm where two Befrienders will be waiting; one female, one male. They will leave at 2.15 pm and walk to Saffron Screen ready for the 3 pm showing.

Volunteer Trustee vacancies for West Essex Mind

We are looking for new Trustees from the Harlow and Epping Forest area to help lead West Essex Mind in its work in supporting people affected by mental ill health, and the people around them, on their journey towards recovery. We currently have a full compliment of Trustees from the Uttlesford area and we will keep a waiting list for anyone interested from this area.

We are looking for committed and energetic individuals with a real understanding of the needs to be met and/or with good financial, business and management experience, to join our existing team of great, friendly and talented Trustees.

The role is unpaid (although expenses are covered) and training is offered.

Brentwood half-marathon

A massive well done to the West Essex Runners for having turned up in the freezing, snowy weather on Sunday let along for having completed the course. Your commitment is inspiring. Alix Lewis, Kelly Dorrington, Deb Buter, Fiona Burgoyne, Sharon Wright and Andy Woodcock made up our dedicated team of runners - well done all of you, the rest of us are inspired and sincerely hope that you are warmed up and recovered. We will update you with how much their efforts have raised for West Essex Mind in due course. We will also share more photos as they become available but here is a fabulous one to start with...

 

New volunteer opportunities with the Get into Reading Programme!

Arts & Crafts in Epping

Why not come along to our new Crafty Mindz arts & crafts group on Mondays in Epping. It's from midday to 2pm at the Church Hall, St Johns Road, Epping. More details on our Social Activities page.
