There are times when you may need to get in touch with someone quickly. Here are some organisations that you may find useful. They all offer extended hours services.

| Samaritans | 08457 909090 | Helpline offering 24-hour emotional support 7 days a week. Confidential, non-judgemental emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide. |
| NHS Direct | 0845 4647 | A 24-hour 7 days a week telephone helpline for all health enquiries. |
| NERIL | 0845 0900909 |
A North Essex Resource and Information Line who support people experiencing mental ill health and give out information about mental health. Line operated 4pm-8am 7 days a week. |
| West Essex - 24-hour Crisis Resolution Home Treatment team | 01279 827268 | The team supports people (who have been reffered) in the community who would otherwise be admitted into hospital. The community teams can visit clients between the hours of 9am-5pm. Out of these hours there is support over the telephone. |
| Womens Aid | 0808 2000 247 | Free phone 24-hour National Domestic Violence Helpline. Womens Aid is the national domestic violence charity that works to end violence against women and children. |
