Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering
Volunteers are a tremendous asset within our organisation. We have a Volunteer Development Coordinator whose role is to maximise the benefits of the experience of volunteering within West Essex Mind. Some of the specific areas in which the Volunteer Development Coordinator will be working are:
- Enhancing the services that we provide by encouraging people with a range of skills and interests to get involved.
- Seeking to recruit volunteers who are interested in supporting service users in having a greater voice.
- Encouraging local employers to consider providing opportunities in volunteering for members of their workforce.
- Increasing awareness of and access to training opportunities that are available to volunteers.
- Leading in the recruitment and matching of volunteers to volunteer opportunities available.
- Working towards achieving nationally recognised standard in volunteer good practise.
